• Palliative Care Workshop

    Nurses & Allied Health Professionals are asked to come and join the Great Southern Palliative Care Team for this interactive face to face session utilising group discussion and case studies to provide participants with a greater understanding of palliative care and how it can be implemented within the area you work in. Topics covered: • Pain assessment/medications • Management nausea/vomiting • Terminal Restlessness and Management of Dyspnoea • Case studies • Debriefing • Resources/supports • Grief loss/Spirituality • Family meetings Morning tea and lunch will be provided.     World Kindness Day was first launched in 1998 by The World Kindness Movement, an organisation formed at a 1997 Tokyo conference of like-minded kindness organisations from around the world. There are currently over 28 nations involved in The World Kindness Movement which is not affiliated with any religion or political movement.     The RACGP’s Lunch & Learn Series is a new knowledge-sharing network created to help frontline primary care professionals develop skills and confidence in responding to family violence.
