Hello and welcome to the Midwest-Gascoyne Health Professionals Network (MWGHPN)!
My name is Melissa, and I commenced in the Coordinator role in March 2026. I am based in Exmouth, where I live with my husband, our four boys, dog Piper, and a few chickens to keep life interesting!
Originally from Perth, I came to the region on what was meant to be a short trip and quickly fell in love with the lifestyle, community, and natural beauty of the Midwest-Gascoyne. The wild landscapes, vibrant colours, incredible night skies, and strong sense of community are just some of the things I love most about living here.
I am passionate about people, connection, and community, and I enjoy creating opportunities that bring health professionals together to network, support one another, and feel connected across our vast region. I understand that while regional living is incredibly rewarding, it can also feel isolating at times, which makes these connections even more important.
In my role, I look forward to getting to know more of our members, learning along the way, and supporting educational, networking, and social opportunities throughout the region.
When I’m not working, you will usually find me outdoors — at the beach with Piper, in the garden, out on the boat, or spending time with my boys and family.

Based in Exmouth, Mel works part-time — half days Monday and Wednesday, and full days Tuesday and Thursday.
