Hello and welcome to the KHPN!
My name is Sara Hennessy and I am the Coordinator of the Kimberley Health Professionals Network (KHPN).
With a degree in science and a postgraduate diploma in business management, I have been living in the Kimberley for over 27 years. I’m an avid angler, former president of both the Broome and Mary Island (Derby) Fishing Clubs, and the creator and presenter of the West Kimberley Women’s Fishing Clinics. I’m also a passionate fitness instructor and dancer/performer, a proud mother to two pretty amazing teenage human beings, partner to a “really good bloke,” and owner of an incredibly energetic Kelpie named Pepper!
As the Coordinator of the KHPN, I assist with the coordination and delivery of professional development activities and help create social networking opportunities for health professionals and their families.
The KHPN brings together health professionals from all specialties to network, socialise, develop professional skills, and share referral pathways. Overall, the KHPN aims to improve patient care, enhance education and training opportunities, and support the attraction and integration of health professionals living in the Kimberley.
Based in Broome, I work Monday to Thursday. If you would like more information or would like to share your thoughts and suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
