SUMMARY:Workshop: Emergency Airway Skills Management
DESCRIPTION:This Rural Health West CPD workshop is designed to assist health professionals to develop and practise skills essential in unexpected crises\, particularly with problem airways. Delivered in WA Country Health Service facilities\, this workshop has a heavy emphasis on teamwork and the organisation of medical emergency teams incorporating presentations\, skill stations and scenario-based crises with simulation manikins (SimMan and baby). \nEligibility: GP anaesthetists and theatre staff. Priority is given to those working in the local region. Should places be available\, emergency department doctors and nurses are invited to register. \nLength: One day – 8.00am-4.30pm \nCost: $50\nThe cost of this workshop is subsidised by WA Country Health Service through the Better Medical Care Initiative \nAccreditation: This workshop is pending accreditation with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine for continuing professional development hours for the 2023-2025 triennium. \nThis education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service through the Better Medical Care Initiative. \nExpression of interest here
